15 Powerful Affirmations For My Daughters

As humans, especially us woman, we have a tendency to let circumstances, opinions of others, or the behaviors/responses of others tell us who we are. We get caught in comparisons and we don’t know who we want to become because we are distracted by who everyone else is becoming. It can be very self-destructive. I know. I’ve been there. It’s a nasty trap but with the help of God, I was able to be released. And now as a mother, it is my job to guide my daughters around those pitfalls. I do so in part with affirmations for my daughters.

Some people use affirmations to think positive and attract “luck.” That’s a personal choice. In my family as Christians, we use affirmations as practical tools, for guarding our hearts. Since scripture is the foundation for our family, we base our affirmations in scripture. That means these aren’t just self-generated statements that we hope may come true. Each of my girls is affirming the words of God, statements about her, spoken by the very God who used words to speak the universe into existence. So these words hold creative power.
